Travel differently – Explore yourself by exploring the world

We all want growth – It’s part of who we are. And why we turn to online groups, blogs, and books.

But information alone isn’t enough.
It’s information plus application that equals growth.

And this equation is what makes traveling one of the best ways to spark personal growth and transformation.

Both educational and experiential, traveling can be an adventurous way to learn about yourself and your values, as you become more…YOU.

There is one thing, though. Travel and tourism – they’re different.
As Gilbert K. Chesterton observed, “The traveler sees what he sees. The tourist sees what he has come to see.”

Being a traveler is more than taking a bus tour, seeing the Eiffel Tower, buying a kitsch refrigerator magnet, or sipping a margarita while lying on the beach in Tulum. Travelers take the opportunity to develop new skills, explore new perspectives, and discover new things about themselves and the world.

What about you? Are you more of a tourist or a traveler?
Either way, here’s an idea – next time you plan a trip, do something different.. Include an activity that takes you out of your comfort zone. Challenge yourself to learn a new language, take a scuba diving course, volunteer for a local organization, or, use public transportation.

If you do, you may arrive home with more than your memories, photos, and souvenirs. You may find yourself transformed.
