Barcelona’s parks are just as impressive as its street architecture. Wherever you go in the city, you are never far from a green park that is usually peppered with sculptures, fountains and that touch of Mediterranean charm. Plus, each year during summer, some of the parks are filled with music, concerts, and events. Best of all, they are usually free!
Here are the spots that made our list:
Park Güell: With a bus leading straight to Park Güell, visitors are openly invited inside (once they have purchased a ticket in advance). Make sure you get there early to beat the steady rush of tourists that fills this place and get your chance to behold the magnificent and unique architecture. There are so many photographic gems to find within this otherworldly setting, all while listening to traditional Spanish music. Overall, this is a great place to hike, walk, relax, and gaze at breathtaking views of Barcelona from high ground.

The little pond provides a great opportunity to hire a boat for half an hour, while the zoo and the ping pong tables give visitors the choice of a bit more.
