Dürer Kert – This awesome venue emits only good vibes and has 3 rooms that all link out into a courtyard area meaning 3 different events can be held at the same time whether that’s a concert, DJ set, or festival. It has a bar area with friendly staff waiting to serve you cheap drinks and fast food served from the grill area.
Budapest Jazz Club – Some of the best Hungarian musicians play jazz, blues, and jam at this live music venue that’s a bit of a hidden gem. The concerts are live streamed to the bar area so even if you didn’t manage to get a ticket to the seated concert, you won’t miss a thing!
Mika Tivadar Mulató – This venue is a den of entertainment with a dance floor and live music (R&B, 90’s pop, electro swing) in the basement and drinks, art, and culture upstairs. Don’t miss out on sitting in the boat in the garden afterwards!
A38 Hajó – This has to be the most unique venue in Budapest – It’s a boat! Attracting a vibrant crowd in the afternoons and evenings, this ship holds gigs on the top-floor terrace as well as below deck with a mix of pop, rock, jazz, electro and more.
Budapest Park – Move to the music at this open-air venue where you can enjoy a more intimate concert experience with a festival feeling. Concerts take place all through the Summer months so be sure to check out what’s on when you’re visiting.
Kuplung – This urban spot serves as a bar and concert venue for a range of popular music types as well as being a workshop and exhibition space. Full of character, and offering long Happy Hours the open-air ruin bar should be enjoyed as much as the concert.
Opus Jazz Club – This jazz and blues club is a lovely romantic spot whether you visit for lunch or dinner. Soak up the fine dining experience and the high quality jazz inside this renovated building for a sophisticated evening of entertainment.
Fonó Budai Music Hall – Music, dance, and words come together at Fonó with a grand stage to watch a live performance. Hosting jazz, folk music, and world music concerts the cozy and intimate venue is still known and loved for its top performing Hungarian Jazz and Ethno Jazz artists.
Hunnia Art Bisztró – A cozy venue to enjoy the Hungarian underground music scene including cover nights, open mic, funk and blues plus an art/photography exhibition space. Be sure to get a front-row seat if you want to see the stage!
Óbudai Társaskör – There’s always something happening at this elegant and cozy cultural center where the friendly staff truly care about the performances that take place. It might seem old-fashioned at first but you’ll be sure of a treat whether listening to jazz or opera, strings or piano – Don’t miss out on the outdoor garden events that take place during the warmer months!
BackStagePub – Listen live to a Hungarian rock band at this stylish yet friendly pub/nightclub where the good times roll. Reasonably priced drinks make it a win-win for a good night out on the town, even if the fun does end relatively early!
torch Club – At Torch Club it’s always Showtime! Get your dance shoes on at this old school dance club / nightclub that also hosts special summer/winter programs with quartet’s, folk musicians, and other classical concerts.
