HaTachana (Old Train Station): Built in the 19th century, HaTachana ran trains from Jaffa to Jerusalem and was considered the first train line in the Middle East. In present day, it houses an open market every weekend with stalls for juices, jewelry, soaps, and hand-crafted items. Although the shops are few in number, there is a nice selection accompanied by a pleasant atmosphere.

Habima Square: This cultural hub is home to many different institutions, such as the Habima Theatre, the Culture Palace and the Helena Rubinstein Pavilion for Contemporary Art. The green garden here – with plenty of benches and a separate cyclists’ lane – is a great space for relaxing.

Cameri Theatre: Established in 1944, Cameri Theatre is one of the leading theatres in Israel and can be found at the Tel Aviv Performing Arts Centre. Be sure to buy tickets in advance for an interesting, tourist-friendly night out with comfortable seats and great acoustics.

The Israeli Opera: Located in the centre of Tel Aviv, within the Tel Aviv Performing Arts Centre, you will find a modern building that provides great sight lines and acoustics to enjoy very creative, artistic, and imaginative productions.

Suzanne Dellal Center for Dance and Theater: This dance theatre welcomes guests to enjoy a variety of spectacles from good seating. There are many dance competitions, events, and festivals to look out for at this venue. Please note the no late seating rule.

Azrieli Center & Observatory: Both a decent-sized mall and an observation deck, Azrieli Center & Observatory is a commercial center and urban vista with a grandview of the city from a height. Inside the mall, there is a great variety of shops, restaurants, a small supermarket, and a multi-room cinema. A large part of the Azrieli Center is comprised of office blocks, which can be used for business meetings.

Tel Aviv Promenade & Beaches: Around 5 km in length, the promenade runs from Jaffa port to Tel Aviv port through a good number of beaches. It is free to access this scenic circuit where people can walk, jog, cycle, and even exercise using the free machines. There are also many coffee shops, restaurants, and bakeries to enjoy along the way.

Independence Hall: An important museum commemorating the site where Jewish independence was declared in 1948, Independence Hall features exhibits and events that provide a great opportunity for people to learn more about its history.

Port of Jaffa: Dating back to the 18th century, this is an old port right on the Mediterranean Sea in the Old City of Jaffa. It is a relaxing place where you can wander the streets, try good food, and enjoy history and modern-day come together.

Rabin Square: This large public square right in the centre of Tel Aviv honors Yitzhak Rabin, who was assassinated in 1995. It often hosts many political rallies, parades, and holiday events. Even when not occupied by public gatherings, it is an ideal space to sit down, read, and relax.

St. Peter’s Church, Jaffa: The architecture of this Franciscan church is impressive and, although only around 100 years old, built on ancient, historic foundations. The Father is very welcoming, and there are also opportunities to tour the building. Many people visit St. Peter’s Church to enjoy the serenity.

Beit Ha’Ir: The first town hall of Tel Aviv, Beit Ha’lr maintains a permanent exhibit about the history of the city and often hosts contemporary art exhibitions. The small water fountain sprinkled with lotus flowers and fish lures you in to sit and relax in the centre of busy Tel Aviv.

Neve Tzedek: At Neve Tzedek, grand old architecture is now home to gourmet food shops and little boutiques. The flower boxes lining the balconies do well to add charm to this interesting place, where you can explore little museums or cozy old houses.
